Publishing Inquiries

A considered beginning.

Bold Quill welcomes thoughtful professional inquiries while maintaining a selective approach to every potential project.

Before You Write

Selective, not restricted by genre.

Bold Quill Publishing is not currently operating a general open-submission program. We do, however, welcome concise inquiries concerning prospective publishing projects, rights and permissions, book marketing, media, advertising, bookselling, libraries, events and partnerships.

We are interested in the strength of the idea, the clarity of the author’s voice and the lasting value the finished book may offer its readers.

A publishing inquiry may include

  • A short description of the proposed work
  • The intended audience and why the book matters
  • A brief author background
  • The current status of the manuscript

Please do not send a complete manuscript unless it has been requested. Sending an inquiry or material does not constitute acceptance, representation or a publishing agreement.
